Auto Repair

Honest, Reliable Auto Repair

Diagnosis, brakes, suspension, A/C, transmissions and more. Repairs book up, so please make an appointment before bringing your car in.

Warning Light On?

Find the light on your dashboard below. We diagnose and fix all of them. Amber means get it checked soon; red means stop or get it checked right away.

  • Check Engine

The engine computer found a problem, from a loose gas cap to a misfire. Flashing means a serious misfire: ease off and get it in soon. It also fails the emissions part of a Massachusetts inspection.

  • ABS

A fault in the anti-lock brakes. Your regular brakes still work, but you lose the anti-lock help in a hard stop or a skid.

  • Tire Pressure (TPMS)

A tire is low on air, or a tire pressure sensor has failed. If it flashes for a minute then stays on, it's usually a sensor.

  • Brake Warning

Low brake fluid or a problem in the brake system (or the parking brake is still on). Have it checked right away.

  • Battery / Charging

The charging system isn't keeping up, often the alternator, the battery or a belt. The car may stall once the battery runs down.

  • Oil Pressure

Low oil pressure. Pull over safely and turn the engine off: driving on can ruin the engine in minutes.

  • Engine Temperature

The engine is running hot. Stop and let it cool, and never open the radiator cap while it's hot.

  • Airbag

A fault in the airbag system, so the airbags may not go off in a crash. On a car 10 model years old or newer, it also fails a Massachusetts inspection.

  • Traction / Stability

On steady: a fault in traction or stability control. Flashing while you drive just means it's working on a slippery road.
